My name is Ula and I am an illustrator, designer, and creator of this site! Having finished my BA Honours in Illustration degree at University of Portsmouth I am passionate at continuing my creative journey into the industry. I've kept myself busy the last few years primarily exploring the world of illustration and unfolding my journey as a creative. My work (as you’ll see) is Bold, Energetic, Vibrant and full of character, currently I've been focusing on exploring the digital design software Procreate. With experience in many digital softwares including; Adobe (PhotoShop, Illustrator, Fresco and Indesign), Sketch and Canva- I enjoy expanding my knowledge with new softwares (such as Procreate) as it only benefits my skills as a creative designer. Although my journey into digital art & design has been successful so far, I’ve not been discouraged to continue to use traditional media. My preferred traditional mediums to use are as followed; Screenprint, Watercolour, Pencils, Chalk & Charcoal, Acrylic paint and fineliner pens. Often when creating illustrations with traditional art, I’ll adopt a mixed media approach in order to achieve authentic layers and depth to these pieces.

 

In my degree my most favoured project was the final self-directed project for my degree titled ‘Visualisation of music’. In this seven month project I explored a wide variety of illustrative and design experimentation within the music industry bracket. Throughout this, whilst designing countless album/ single covers, festival posters, logos/ trademarks for artists etc, I have discovered a passion for marketing and merchandising.

 

Continuing my creative journey onwards, I am currently expanding my knowledge in digital marketing through  an online course, Striving to ultimately pursue a career amongst this field!
